WPC wall panels
What are the WPC Wall Panels?
Natural veneer cladding is a wonderful material for any wall, as it comes from the nature and provides a cozy and quiet feeling. However, the raw materials for it are decreasing, which directly affects their price. Is there an alternative that balances the feel of wood with its durability, while also being affordable and environmentally friendly? Of course, there is!
WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) material is one of the ideal options. The wide range of applications for these interior wall panels and their durability make them a preferred detail in the interiors of both public and business buildings, as well as homes and small commercial spaces.
What are they made of?
WPC panels are made from a composite material consisting of wood, plastic, and other auxiliary components. Wood dust is typically used as the main material, to which substances such as polymers and preservatives are added. The main raw materials for their production are:
Wood Dust: This is the main material for producing wood-plastic wall panels. Materials generated from various wood processes are used. This improves the hardness, strength, and durability of the WPC panels.
High-Molecular Polymer: Another main component of WPC panels, its role is to increase impact resistance and waterproofing of the cladding. Common polymers include polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, etc.
Preservatives: These prevent rot and mold on this type of wall panels.
Characteristics
WPC panels have excellent physical properties: they are wear-resistant, deformation-resistant, aging-resistant, corrosion-resistant, moisture-resistant, anti-static, and UV-resistant. They withstand high temperatures up to 75°C and low temperatures down to -40°C. They are produced in an environmentally friendly manner without pollution, harmless to people. The product does not contain benzene, and the formaldehyde content is 0.2, which is lower than the EO level standards and meets the European environmental protection standards. They can be recycled, which significantly saves the use of natural wood.
